Perseverance, Part 2

There is a tactic that the enemy uses against all of us in some manner, shape or form. It may not draw as much attention as some of the other tactics of satan but it can be very effective in hindering the effectiveness of our relationship with Christ if we succumb to its pressures. This tactic or strategy may be identified through the use of many subtitles but I will simply call it "discouragement." I can almost see the readers of this blog nodding their heads in agreement when they remember the times that satan has used this tactic against them. I will be the first of many to say AMEN!!

The enemy seeks to discourage us in such a manner that he causes us to doubt our effectiveness. Do you realize how impactful your life can be? Don't be deceived by Satan's lie that your suffering, your service to others or your obedience will amount to nothing. The enemy does his best to limit our faith concerning our service to Him and our work in His Kingdom. Here's the truth: Your faithfulness to God never goes to waste--it's making an eternal difference in someone's life, whether you know it or not. Much of what each of us do is "behind the scenes" and out of the sight of man but always in the sight of God. But isn't that type of service the one that brings the  most satisfaction and joy into our lives?

Let me remind you of the words of the Apostle Paul to the church in Galatia.

Galatians 6:7-10, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.(NKJV)

I encourage you to persevere in your desire to serve others. The full results of your efforts are still being recorded in Heaven. The harvest is not complete as of yet!!
