Word of God

I am going to take somewhat of a different approach to today's blog post. I am a strong believer in the power and authority of the Word of God. My spirit was reminded this morning that we spend a lot of time reading information about the Word of God and very little time reading the Word of God. I am not saying that this action or activity is sinful on our part. I realize that the teaching and preaching of the Word of God serves mankind as a means that God uses to challenge our process of thinking concerning God and His plan for our lives. I am thankful for the inspiration that God has shared with writers, teachers, and preachers that have poured into my life through the years of my spiritual journey. BUT I AM ALSO THANKFUL FOR THE PURE WORD OF GOD THAT HAS BEEN SHARED WITH THIS WORLD!! The Word of God still speaks life and strength to those who will take the time to read the Word, meditate on the Word and make application of the Word of God!!

Let us read the Word of God found in Ephesians 6:10-18

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c]against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-" (NKJV)

Blessings on your walk with Christ!!!
