Encouraging Reminder

Psalm 9:9-11, "The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. 10  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. 11  Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people." (NKJV)

This portion of scripture spoke to my heart as I read it a few days ago. I shared this via an email as an encouraging reminder a few minutes ago with a group of my friends.  I sensed that this part of the Word of God spoke encouragement to me and I pray that it will provide that same type of ministry to you today.

Each of us are facing our own unique set of "troubles." These vary in intensity and seriousness for each of us yet when we are facing them they are very serious to us. We are reminded and encouraged to put our trust in God. We can do this as we remember that He (God) will not forsake those who seek Him.

That is one of the reasons that PRAYER needs to be raised to a higher level of participation in the lives of the people of God. We need to have an intimate relationship with the One that we are going to trust to be in charge of our lives.

2015 needs to be a year in which we accomplish the goal of developing a consistent prayer life. We must stop waiting on everyone else to do all of the praying for us. We need to learn to pray for ourselves! We need to learn to draw near to the presence of God! We need to learn to offer ourselves to God as a "living sacrifice!" We need to become involved in this form of communication called PRAYER!

ENJOY PRAYING IN 2015!!!
