Danger, Part 2

We need to sense the importance of allowing the Spirit and the Word of God to guard our hearts. These two powerful forces are able to form a portion of the "spiritual guardrail" system that all of us need in place. No one of us is immune to the attacks of the enemy; how we respond to those attacks will determine victory or defeat. God has planned for your victory. The path of our heart (desires) determines where we go in life because it most affects our passions. If we don't guard our heart with God's Word and stay focused on the road that God has put us on; we may find ourselves involved in a spiritual accident when the enemy comes to draw us away from our walk with God. Satan is constantly on the attack, trying to tempt you to sin against God. We must not throw caution to the wind; we must recognize the warnings of the Spirit. When these warnings come we must make the correct decision and allow the Spirit to direct our path into one that brings victory. The Lord placed this passage of scripture in my path this morning; Isaiah 41:13, "For I, the Lord your God will hold your right hand. Saying to you, Fear not, I will help you" (NKJV). We can depend on the help from God when the enemy of our soul comes seeking to destroy and devour. God has greater plans for you; just continue to trust Him with all of your heart. The District Meeting in Greenville was awesome. Last night the altar was full of those seeking for a turnaround in the circumstances of their lives. This is not the time to draw away from God but this is the time to draw near. We must allow the Spirit to open the eyes of our hearts and identify that God is at work in the affairs of mankind. I am encouraged by the great and precious promises of God!
