Prayer for Haiti

Many of us have heard about the tragedy that has taken place in Haiti in the past few days. Certainly we need to remember this nation in our prayers as well as contribute financial support through our local church, Red Cross or other humanitarian aid organizations. These tragedies become an opportunity to share the Gospel message through love and concern for those who have been at the epicenter of the tragedy. Let us open our hearts to prayer as well as giving of our finances to help meet the needs of the people. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." (NKJV) This passage serves as a powerful reminder that God brings comfort to us and that He will use us to help bring comfort to others!
